About the Author
Patrick J. Cihon is an Associate Professor of Law and Public Policy at Syracuse University's Whitman School of Management. His research interests include employment law, employment discrimination, labor relations, and dispute resolution. Professor Cihon is the co-author of West's TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT as well as a number of books and articles in the field of employment law. After a career with the Ontario Ministry of Labor, Professor Cihon joined Syracuse where he has received the Outstanding Faculty Member Award from both the Syracuse University Association of Graduate Business Students and the Syracuse Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma. Professor Cihon earned his B.A. from Pennsylvania State University, an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School of York University in Toronto, and an LL.M. from Yale Law School.

James Ottavio Castagnera is the Associate Provost and Legal Counsel for Academic Affairs at Rider University in Lawrenceville and Princeton (NJ). In this role, he oversees the Center for International Education, extensive regulatory matters, labor relations with the faculty union, and numerous other law-related and governance responsibilities in the Academic Affairs Division. He is also the Managing Director of K&C Human Resource Enterprises, a freelance writing, editing and consulting organization focused on labor/employment and higher education law. In addition to EMPLOYMENT AND LABOR LAW, Dr. Castagnera has published 18 other books, including AL QAEDA GOES TO COLLEGE (Praeger, 2009); nCOUNTER TERRORISM ISSUES (CRC Press 2013); HANDBOOK FOR STUDENT LAW (Peter Lang 2011, 2014); EMPLOYMENT LAW ANSWER BOOK (Wolters Kluwer, 8th ed. 2013), and West's TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT with co-author Patrick Cihon. He holds a J.D. and Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University and has been a member of the Pennsylvania Bar for 34 years.

Great

This book is fearless and readable. It takes on some difficult theological issues without being strident. You come away with an appreciation of Paul's ferver in protecting the early church from the effects of racial and national elitism. There is no hesitation in saying that the law is temporal and that the Spirit is the force for a Christian's moral direction. Christians overcome their sin through faith in what God has accomplished through Christ's death, burial, and resurection.

Recently I preached/taught through Galatians and was shocked to find that this commentary was more useful to me than some of the more exegetical and academic tomes.
By this I mean not only was it helpful for preaching and application, but Hansen often provided more insight into the context and gave a more theologically reasoned interpretation to this admittedly difficult letter.
I recommend this commentary to the lay person, pastor, and academics.

Refreshing

I own a dozen commentaries on Galatians and this one surprised me by its readability and usefulness. It is not very technical. It makes common sense most of the time. It is brief and concise in comparison to some other titles I own, but full of well spoken phrases and exegetical gems. You will be tempted to quote the author. I was pleasantly surprised by depth despite the size. It is not about what doctrines the author affirms; it is about how he approaches the text and what he highlights as major issues, perhaps even useful in our day and not just in Anatolia region. I actually do not agree with quite a few points the author makes, but that is personal, not business to borrow the clich� from the Godfather movies. I still feel that most pastors and serious Bible students will find it refreshing and udefull.

Using stories from planning practices, this book shows that local planning decisions, particularly those which involve consideration of issues of 'public space' cannot be understood separately from the socially constructed, subjective territorial identities, meanings and values of the local people and the planners concerned. Nor can it be fully represented as a linear planning process concentrating on traditional planning policy-making and decision-making ideas of survey analysis-plan or officer recommendation-council decision-implementation.

Such notions assume that policy-and decision-making proceed in a relatively technocratic and value neutral, unidirectional, step-wise process towards a finite end point. In this book Jean Hiller explores ways in which different values and mind-sets may affect planning outcomes and relate to systemic power structures. By unpacking these and bring them together as influences on participants' communication, she reveals influences at work in decision-making processes that were previously invisible.

If planning theory is to be of real use to practitioners, it needs to address practice as it is actually encountered in the worlds of planning officers and elected representatives. Hillier shed light on the shadows so that practitioners may be better able to understand the circumstances in which they find themselves and act more effectively in what is in reality a messy, highly politicised decision-making process.

Nicola’s goal is to create rich characters with a strong male lead and a passionate female lead. She also strives to set her books in exotic places such as Arabia and Ceylon. “We all want a happy ending but I like to create some friction and chase before my leads come together,” Nicola has said. “The Tea Plantation” is her second novel.
